Strategy to avoid transformation and to stay miserable?

What is your strategy to avoid your own transformation and stay miserable? Here are a few strategies: Which ones do you use?

Let’s first look what is transformation to understand why anyone would want to avoid it. After all transformation sounds all good, doesn’t it?

Transformation is very simple, but it is not that simple and it is not that easy to cause it, whether for yourself or not.

I have wasted so much money over the years!

If I could turn it back into money, all the things I bought that didn’t bring me any benefit, my expenses would be covered for a year, maybe more.

That is a lot of time I wasted, because I work for my money. Every penny of it.

For about a decade I owned a magazine that catered to adult entertainment. So I had a chance to observe. Observe the men who showered money on it, and entertainers who showered the same money on dudes who put it up their noses.

In this week’s Borowitz Report Andy Borowitz says: U.S.A. the Envy of World After Ten Billion Dollars in Campaign Ads Changes Almost Nothing.

DAILY PRACTICE

DAILY PRACTICE: Push hard to get better, become smarter, grow your devotion to the truth, fuel your commitment to beauty, refine your emotional intelligence, hone your dreams, negotiate with your shadow, cure your ignorance, shed your pettiness, heighten your drive to look for the best in people, and soften your heart — even as you always accept yourself for exactly who you are — with all of your so-called imperfections. ~~ Rob Brezsny

Depending on how you look at something, it has many facets

What you see is what you see. What someone sees when they look at what you are looking at, likely that they will see something else.

Some two decades ago I participated in a two-hour workshop where the leader began with asking the audience what color the notepad she held in her hand was… Obviously it was white. And every moron could see that it was white.

But then she flipped it over, and now we saw her side, and it was brown cardboard… Darn…

I just learned something. I have stopped arguing then and there…

The Heaven on Earth or HOE

If you were a garden, we could be pretty sure that it would be full of weeds… and all your good qualities, your good aspirations would be threatened by the weeds that want to take over your garden.

Negativity, bad habits, bad thoughts, character flaws… all threaten to drown out what’s good about you.

It’s not in what direction you start but how you take turns

I was reading a Lee Goldberg book, Fast Track, about illegal car racing in Los Angeles. (In the movie it is some German town, not Los Angeles…)

One of the drivers says: it is not how fast the car is… it is the driver that matters.
It is not how fast you can drive, it is the turns that make the winner.

It is a principle…

An object already in motion can change direction. But an object at rest cannot be easily turned into the ‘right’ direction.

Activators produce permanent change once they are established… What’s in the way? What’s the difficulty?

Activators produce permanent change once they are established… What’s in the way?

In several tests, comparing comprehension and the ability to recall and use the information after reading a book, people performed much better when they read the book with the PhotoReading method than when they read it “normally.” The retention, the length of time that the knowledge is available was also multiple of the “normal” reading length.

The tests compare the same person, (as opposed to groups) so the base knowledge, the vocabulary, and interests, (which are fundamentally influencing the results,) are the same in the comparison. Person A, normal reading, vs. person A PhotoReading, got it? If you compared my results with yours, the comparison would not be valid, because we have a different level of knowledge and vocabulary, and interests.

So the comparison is comparing comprehension between two states:

you have a chance to read every word with your conscious mind, look up words that you don’t know, re-read paragraphs that you don’t understand completely, ponder, etc. You can read, at the rate of about 30 pages an hour, and it will take as long as it takes.
in an altered state of mind, with eyes fuzzy and focused behind the pages so you cannot actually see what’s on the page, at a rate of 1 page a second… a normal book takes a few minutes to read this way.

Why would it be so? After all it doesn’t make sense, does it?

Is your theory about how life works accurate? Does it work?

When I was really small, I remember my feet didn’t reach to the floor, I remember sitting on the toilet pondering how you slap people.

To my utter surprise, when it came to doing it, I did it quite naturally. Gracefully? Probably not. But I did it. Without thinking.

It taught me something: how you do something starts with actually doing it. And then you can modify, improve, change… but you know how to do it… at least badly.

#1 QUOTE OF ALL TIME
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
‘It’s the start that stops most people’.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
That’s it

It’s the start.

Do you get this?

NOTHING good in your life has or will happen to you until you START!

Just think about this quote for a second before you abandon this email.

It’s ALL about starting.

This is a companion article to the one on asking: does it work?

And maybe you’d want to also listen to the recording of a workshop I did on November 5…

Learn how to decide what doesn’t workSo you actually get what it is that your non-action, non-starting is costing you: a life that doesn’t work.

It’s not just how you feel about yourself, it is not just how you feel about your life… it is much more than that. It is that your life doesn’t work… you aren’t climbing out of the lowest level of the hierarchy of needs… making a living, being safe, etc.

And when you get what you are not doing, consider that starting is not enough, you actually need to take things to completion.

Want to know what is their soul’s purpose? Why?

People (you?) want to know what is their soul’s purpose so they can start to live the life of their dreams. They are waiting to do the right thing… but there is a problem.

If and when the right thing comes along, will you be ready for it?

It has taken me 60 years to become ready to do what I do, and although most things are not as complicated and demanding as being a spiritual leader of returning humanity to the Original Design, most things require you to know how to do quite a few things.
