The tragedy that happened to humanity in the last Century

What happened to humanity, starting at the beginning of the 20th Century is a big tragedy.

Success literature happened.

And success gurus, success writers, motivational speakers, and the whole industry of the Lottery Approach.

The same thing happened in spirituality and in healing. Even religion had been kinder to people… Even religion had robbed them less that this new wave of success literature. Killing Life… for most people.

Liars, shysters, snake oil salesmen, con artists. all making money through selling lies. Teaching you things that don’t work.

Unfounded, untested, untrue.

With rare exceptions.

Why Shackleton’s famous ad was a lie

A course really begins when you sign up to it
Any course, any journey… A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step… says the Chinese proverb. If it doesn’t terrify you, then it will not be significant… then it will be just a walk in the park…

The guidance the Universe has for you is when you embark on something significant. If you have only enthusiasm, if you feel good about it… it means that it is either the wrong course of action, or won’t make a difference for you. Too easy.

You Are Making Bad Decisions Emotionally

I wrote this article about making decisions emotionally back in 2013… and reading it was amazing: I actually now see how far I have come…

OK, here is the original article:

You are not stupid, you are just making your decisions emotionally
‘If you want to live with the masses, think emotionally. If you want to live with the middle class, think positively. If you want live with the world class, think critically.’ –Steve Siebold
I have been impulsive and hasty as long as I can remember. And I have known myself, by my results, stupid, stupid as the stupid does, as long as I remember.

My results in any endeavor, any relationship, and the business of life have been anything but stellar. Mistakes, mistakes, mistakes.

The past 4-5 years I have been paying attention, but bad habits die slowly or never, and I am, for the most part, behaving the same way as I behaved all my life, hasty moves, jumping into conclusions, only to discover moments or days later that I didn’t look before I leaped.

I wish I were flawless, but then I would be useless as a teacher: when you are effortlessly good at something, then you can’t teach it: you have no distinctions in the area of your expertise. Only when you can go, through your own awareness, from bad to good, that you have something useful to offer to the world that wants to follow you.

This is the main issue, by the way, with many of the famed and revered teachers, like Osho or Eckhart Tolle. They are really nice to read, very nurturing, but impossible to follow. Because they never went from where you are to where they are… they somehow found themselves there, using none of their own effort.

Are you talented? Your talent: is it wasted?

This morning I have been experiencing an emotional roller coaster… as I am cycling through tens of people as I accidentally connect to them. Some gurus, Murakami, his wife, a marketing guru, my next door neighbor, my brother, some students, a site visitor from Hungary, my architecture school friend.

I can feel my face, my mouth… and I can recognize the micro expressions and identify them.

And then, of course, the emotions of my own reaction to their internal state… judgment, compassion, pity, sympathy…

I could write an article, a whole article, about each of them, but I’ll write about a word that screwed up countless lives… and probably still is.

As you know, a large period of my life I was an architect. Architecture school, in Hungary, is something you choose after high school, and it’s a five year study, every person takes the exact same classes.

The favorite or dreaded word of an architecture student was ‘talented’ or ‘not talented’.

Give your inner wisdom a chance to talk

Give your inner wisdom a chance to talk
I have been changing up what I do in my business to find… again… what works.

What do I mean ‘works’?

In business (but my hunch is everywhere in life) things work well for a while and then they don’t.

You may have noticed that when you start taking a supplement, it works like gangbusters. Or when you change your diet: often it makes dramatic improvement, for a little while.

Even carefully muscletested food lists work only for a little while.

Very very few things are able to keep up the dramatic improvement for a long time… and even then other things may spoil the picture.

The courage to be yourself, Your TRUE self

I had an insight yesterday that was completely driven home today by my guidance system.

We see something, and then it’s gone.

It is gone, and it didn’t have time or a receiver to impart the important learning in what we saw.

This happens with such frequency, that we stop paying attention to our inner guidance, our bodies talking to us…

We see the the feeling for a moment from the corner of our consciousness, and the guidance is lost… again.

4 daily tasks… a revolutionary tool to happiness

4 daily tasks: not what you need to do. instead what you see you can do for a future you decided to have.

In my case the future: being able to pick up and move countries without loss of productivity, loss of health, loss of income, loss of standard of living. Having an apartment, food, transportation, internet connection, mobile phone… the important things.

The four daily tasks are really a very useful tool.
An aside: what is a task? Anything that you can do in one sitting, not long enough even to have to get up to go to the bathroom. Even writing an article is a project that is made up of several tasks… idea, outlining, writing, editing, title, publishing. It may include even researching…

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?

The other day it occurred to me that the Precious ‘I’ I have been talking about is just another name for vanity.

But vanity is a loaded word, while Precious ‘I’ has some compassion in it, it can be measured, everyone can relate to it, so it is less denied out of hand.

Because when you want to see yourself, be self-aware, you want to avoid the words that condemn.

Or in some cases using those words is your m.o., modus operandi, to keep it up, because you make it sound that you have nothing to say in the matter.

And having something to say in the matter is all the magic you need: you can tweak it, understand it, sympathize with it, and win.

Why do we have feelings? Not emotions… feelings…

If it has a name, it is no longer a feeling…
I am a True Empath. What does it have to do with the price of tea in China? A whole lot. I feel feeling you have… you have the feelings, but you don’t feel it. You only feel what you said it means.

Empathy, the ordinary kind, is part of the human DNA. It can be overpowered by the predatory genes… making the human not experience it… not care, and a whole 30% of humanity doesn’t feel empathy, and doesn’t care for another’s plight, pain, misery or need.

And then there is empathy where the person feels what the other feels to the degree that they are merged, the feelings that the person themselves are not feeling keenly. The shared feeling is always physical, interpreted according to the empathic person’s own experience.

Mistakes, errors, failures… and happiness

I like challenge.

I believe that only failures, only mistakes teach me anything, so I make sure I set my life up, I set my business up to have a steady stream of failures.
My counter-intuitive approach to life allows me to be happy.
