You live inside a machine… now… Respect the machine… Don’t fight it.

Respect the machine…

Many of you will get unstuck reading, understanding, and making what I teach in this post instinctual.

Many topics give themselves better and easier to make an advice, a guidance, a new method of doing things instinctual.

I envy the teachers of those “things”… My favorite teacher, ever, is Robert Plank because of his “how”. I make a point of taking all the classes he teaches, because I can see the path: how what he teaches will be made instinctual.

And try I might, I haven’t been able to duplicate it in my courses.

World view, attitudes, how to read, creating context, etc. seem to be not quite demonstrable, and not that easy to tell people what to do exactly to make them instinctual.

Instinctual means you can do it like you can breathe…

I have managed with a few things myself, but quite a few things: I still have to see, suffer, and do…

Everything in what I teach has to go past the hearing and the understanding level. Because the distance between those levels and actually applying them, instinctually, is like crossing the Grand Canyon… not very likely.

Even a little practice can go a long way… maybe half-way?

The fullness of love, fulfillment, and the emptiness you try to fill

In this article I share what it takes to become a fulfilled human being… Not depending on the world for love, success, praise… being liked, being well thought of…

It is 9/11 today. 14 years ago this day I still thought that someone else can fill the gaping hole within me. That someone loving me can fill me with love.

That success will fill me with fulfillment.

It doesn’t, and it can’t.

Luckily I woke up from that induced societal slumber.

Overwhelm, survival mode, resignation, dead man walking

I had an important and eye-opening insight today. A looking back…

Let me tell you the story so you get the fact that the likelihood of me ever discovering this was between none and zero.

It began some 30 years ago.

Lack of confidence? Difficulty to trust yourself? This article is a must read if you want to become confident!

Lacking confidence?
Summary: An enlightened being is confident. Confident in their ability to be a match to whatever life throws at them, and therefore they don’t fret, don’t sit around, they do what it takes to achieve what they set out to achieve.

A confident person can do almost anything. Confidence is not a belief, confidence is a certainty, a KNOWING, and it is a very high consciousness level… it is the capacity to see what isn’t there… because that is what it takes to KNOW that you are a match to anything, and if you fail, you’ll learn from it… just another way to be a match to life.
We could call the process of becoming confident the Path to Enlightenment…
Enlightenment is a process, that could be called becoming an Expanding Human Being… And the path to confidence… the process to become an Expanding Human Being, is finally ready.
And not surprisingly, this is the same path to a higher vibration, all the way from the puny vibration you have now, to the rarefied height of the 900’s, and anything in between.

The attitude of high self-esteem, does it help you or hinder you? Here is your answer…

High self-esteem can be expressed in the picture of the cat looking in the mirror seeing herself as a lion. But is she? No. Therefore, any time she is just a cat, doing what cats do, she will feel bad about herself, because she isn’t living up to her own self-image of a roaring lion. She won’t be happy just being a cat, she won’t take correction, she’ll argue with you to death that she is OK, she doesn’t need to change, that she is a perfect lion.

That cat is you, my dear. Result: everything you try to change your life fails, because in order to change you need to allow yourself to not be perfect. In order to be trained, you need to empty your mind of everything that’s there, and declare yourself ignorant.

Marker feelings, or why knowledge is power

You are going to understand this article on the level of your current accuracy… Be warned… it is probably less than 10%. Reading it more than once won’t help, only getting more distinctions into your tool box… accurately.

People don’t like to read… read and think… forget about it. The ones that do read and think will be the ones who win…

Attitude, the most misunderstood word in the world… A holographic approach to attitude adjustment

There are no good attitudes and bad attitudes, only productive and unproductive attitudes!
“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company… a church… a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past… we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you… we are in charge of our Attitudes. ? Charles R. Swindoll”

Here is a piece of the puzzle I have missed… the trap of introspection

“A man wrapped up in himself makes a very small parcel.”
~John Ruskin

When you have a narrow cone of vision, or watch something to close to it… so close that you identify with it, what you see is largely useless.

Try this: try to see your palm clearly while your eyes are only a centimeter from your skin. You can’t. And everything there will fill you will dread… without a larger context nothing makes sense, and everything feels threatening.

When you look at your feelings, your thoughts like you just looked at your palm, we call that introspection.

Some of my students go there, from time to time, instead of keeping distance between the observed and the observer, distance physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually.

The Amish Horse Training Method, the Playground method (the meaning), the Memes (Tree of Knowledge), the Attitudes (Approaches), and, of course the whole science of being able to tell a feeling from an emotion… aka the Marker Feelings… They all need you to keep a healthy distance and a neutral attitude… i.e. observe them from the “Observer or Witness” position. From Outside of yourself.

My webinars, my workshops, train you to distinguish for yourself what it feels like to create a distance, what it sounds like, what it looks like… to you.

What it feels like to be in Plato’s Cave… and what it feels like to be outside.

Life, thoughts, emotions, relationships, life’s purpose, liking… all look different in the “light of day”… i.e. outside of Plato’s Cave.

I am still learning to teach creating distance… teaching it with simple words…

It is, in my experience, the hardest thing to teach. You cannot connect to Source unless you can create that distance. You cannot muscle test accurately, unless you can create that distance. You can’t have a life that works, unless you can create that distance.

And I can’t explain to you how to do it… I even had a whole course once on just that… It was called “Detached” and it taught the participants, unsuccessfully, to step back.

So this is a work in progress… to teach it with words.

Participants who took my Playground, the Amish Horse Training, and the Money Attitudes workshops learned it through osmosis…

But how do you translate it to words… Sigh…

One of my students implemented a new practice: becoming an idea machine. He has committed to write 10 new ideas a day. I have tried: wicked hard… but gets you out of the cave. Why? Maybe because reality is a lot bigger than your cave? lol.

I hear the odd teacher or writer mentioning this issue… but they, so far, haven’t written anything that would help me help you.

OK… let’s see what are your options:

If you look at the illustration on the top of this page, you see four quadrants. The “archetypes” are 10% accurate… the truth value is what phd’s can create… low, but maybe we can use it for discussion.

The first category or archetype it talks about

Can depression be alleviated with coaching? A coach reports…

Life wants more life… and when it can’t… when it is not forthcoming, it puts you into depression.
I had a small private workshop yesterday to test out a methodology that works for me to unstuck me every time.

Without a reliable, count-onable, potent method to unstuck yourself, you may get stuck in misery, inactivity, depression, for a long time.

What moves life, what gives a sense of living, is movement. Upward movement.

What many of us experience is deadness, or the dread of downward movement. It feels that movement, action, is futile
The depression resulting can last days, weeks, months… Depression recreates its cause… no movement.
