4 daily tasks… a revolutionary tool to happiness


4 daily tasks: not what you need to do. instead what you see you can do for a future you decided to have.

In my case the future: being able to pick up and move countries without loss of productivity, loss of health, loss of income, loss of standard of living. Having an apartment, food, transportation, internet connection, mobile phone… the important things.

The four daily tasks are really a very useful tool.
An aside: what is a task? Anything that you can do in one sitting, not long enough even to have to get up to go to the bathroom. Even writing an article is a project that is made up of several tasks… idea, outlining, writing, editing, title, publishing. It may include even researching…

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?


The other day it occurred to me that the Precious ‘I’ I have been talking about is just another name for vanity.

But vanity is a loaded word, while Precious ‘I’ has some compassion in it, it can be measured, everyone can relate to it, so it is less denied out of hand.

Because when you want to see yourself, be self-aware, you want to avoid the words that condemn.

Or in some cases using those words is your m.o., modus operandi, to keep it up, because you make it sound that you have nothing to say in the matter.

And having something to say in the matter is all the magic you need: you can tweak it, understand it, sympathize with it, and win.

Lack of purpose? lack of meaning? how to find? it is a lifesaver


One of the things all humans crave is consistency and stability. And, or course, if you live a life outside of a cage, outside of a managed care facility, those are hard to come by.

The only constant in reality is change… constant, maddening change. As soon as you get used to a new thing… the next new thing comes…

And humans don’t adjust well to change, don’t want change, don’t like change.

Don’t do well with change…

This is a 7 years old recording of a drill session… where I am training people to distinguish between mind actions, brain actions, how to know if you are coming from your mind, if you are forcing, etc.

Why do we have feelings? Not emotions… feelings…


If it has a name, it is no longer a feeling…
I am a True Empath. What does it have to do with the price of tea in China? A whole lot. I feel feeling you have… you have the feelings, but you don’t feel it. You only feel what you said it means.

Empathy, the ordinary kind, is part of the human DNA. It can be overpowered by the predatory genes… making the human not experience it… not care, and a whole 30% of humanity doesn’t feel empathy, and doesn’t care for another’s plight, pain, misery or need.

And then there is empathy where the person feels what the other feels to the degree that they are merged, the feelings that the person themselves are not feeling keenly. The shared feeling is always physical, interpreted according to the empathic person’s own experience.

The non-linear process of growth to a life well lived


I watched a Hungarian video yesterday on the kids who can see auras, and such… and first I felt upset, then confused, and then, by today, after I finished this article, I was clear: so what?

Every ability, every capability, ordinary or not, is only as useful as it will make you live a life worth living… but what is the usefulness of thousands of kids seeing auras… really! So what? That is their accomplishment?

Just like being an empath, seeing is a curse as much as a gift… the difference between the two is what you are going to do with it… None of the future is self-explanatory, or simple… you have a tool… but you still have to become “a human being” if you want to be happy and live well.

What if it is unlikely that you can become the best version of you? Is it still worth going for it?


Something I just read made me get up from bed and come back to my computer. It is something I have almost forgotten… even though it was one of the most important things I have ever learned.
It is: instead of fighting the bad, grow the good.
Of course, some of the principles we live by become invisible… this is one of those.

It’s not my invention. In fact the two wolves the Indian (Native American) tale speaks of, use exactly this principle: feed the good in you.

But the way it was worded in the book I just read was more profound. It says: Let me grow more of the good myself so the bad is less of me.
I didn’t need to kill the iceman (in me). I didn’t even need to fight him. I just needed to make more of myself, so that he would be less of me.

How I got myself unstuck on a project to double my income…


I have been working on the project of doubling my income by adding a new revenue source.

This article is my private process. I wrote it to document how I got myself over the hump. To clarify some things. To get unstuck. And to be able to do it again and again.

At some spots it’s sketchy… it is my process and it has fulfilled its purpose: I have gained the clarity from doing it, the clarity that will help me to get to over the next hump when I want to or need to do it again… because that is how life works.

If life is smooth sailing, then you are not growing. Then you are not challenging yourself. Then you are most likely going down on a greased chute.

The two hemispheres of the brain and spirituality… what is your life experience?


The scenic route of getting some teaching, and making it your own nurturing, life affirming tree of life knowledge

I want to share a phenomenon, that, hopefully, will get clearer as I am sharing it… At the moment I can only see its visible aspect… I am almost certain it has an invisible aspect as well.

I read about three hours a day. Something that isn’t connected to my work: fiction.

But recently I have taken on a 20-day challenge: listen to 20 episodes of a Hungarian psychologist, Dr. Peter Popper, in his Mesterkurzus (master course) series, an hour long each.

Excellent, fascinating, the dude is both a psychologist, an university professor, a clinician, AND a religion expert… whatever that means.

How we keep our self-worth, self-value low in life… new insights


I have been posting my articles on Medium, an online platform, for the past two years. This morning I was tallying up what articles were well read, well thought of… and was pondering if I should write articles that people like, or if I should continue writing articles that people need. Articles that only I can write… writing those is more fun for me.

I can look at the question through many different “filters”… integrity, i.e. being true to myself. Being true to my principle: “Never doing anything for money that I wouldn’t want to do for free.” or the newest distinction for me: project mode vs process mode.

Wanting more article likes is project mode. Writing articles is being with what I am writing, and the articles will produce the results they will: this is the process mode.
Learning
Learning new things is both exciting, and humbling. More humbling, in a way, than exciting. I never really want to learn anything new, not about myself, not about life, not about people, not about anything. I already know enough, says a part of me… and I break out in hives (figuratively) at the option of learning something new.

And then, when I do learn something new, I have to process it, and rebuild my self-view, maybe even my world view. It could be fun, but it really not pleasant.

If you consider that this is what I ask from other people, for a living, I could be viewed pretty “inauthentic”… looked in one way. I don’t think I am, I feel the pain it cost people to learn something new, and have compassion: see where they are at and am willing to help them through.
Yesterday’s article on the two hemispheres of the brain
Yesterday’s article was the result of a huge learning, and I didn’t hear any echo until this morning. Even this morning it wasn’t any talking about what I wrote: instead I got an example of how it is true, that when you move from the high mind-share, high about-me score, you have creativity and joy available to you.

What I didn’t see, and one of my students taught me, is that the project mode, when you are hellbent on getting the result, and put up with the process that you’d rather not have to go through, you are in the mind: the only place the future exists, you are in about-me mode, and you are in left-brain mode, even if you are doing “art”. Of some supposedly joyful thing, like a game, or sex, or a conversation.
When you shift into process mode, you are in the present moment, and that is definitely not mind. Mind doesn’t even know about the present moment.
This traditionally project mode student of mine did this shift, and for the first time he experienced joy and creativity (his one art is songwriting, he has others) and called his state: “I am better than ever.” The joy was tangible in his voice.

And that joy, that “being hooked up” to the divine source of joy, creativity, transcendence is available all the time, not like the project mode that has a time and a place and a duration… what most people seem
