There are two ways to hear anything Part 2. What was said and what you heard…

I have been observing people’s behavior in seminars, coaching calls, and even one-on-one conversations.

They are rarely hearing what you are saying.

Do what do they do?

1. they get hooked on something you said, and now they are in their minds, having a totally different conversation… a conversation wholly independent from what you are talking about.
2. they are arguing with you in their heads… don’t agree, don’t like, don’t own.
3. they have checked out… they are as good as asleep.

I have seen this third one in various courses and seminars.

When the topic goes to something that is unconfrontable, difficult, would take courage or intelligence to follow… something that is contrary to their world-view… people check out. They may fall asleep… especially men.

There are two ways to hear anything…

1. through and inside the mind
2. in reality

Hearing, or course, includes reading. Reading is a version of listening. How you read is how you listen…

But even if you manage to hear something outside of the mind, the next step will decide everything.

You are like a dog with a bone. Or a cat with a new food…

You’ll drag that thing you heard into the cave, into the mind, and you compare it with what is there.

Are you filling your head with ‘just in case’ knowledge while your life is waiting for you to know what to do?

I woke up this morning. I said the date, out loud, in Hungarian (my last dream before waking up was in Hungarian) and the sound of the words took me to a soul-searching.

I said (in Hungarian), Happy New Year Miss Benshitta… and it hit me, that I would be an old maid, a spinster in Hungary… ugh… would it have forced me to get married and become swallowed up by another’s life?

Had I stayed in Hungary… I probably would have continued working as an architect. I probably would have never done the steps that would have taken me through all the steps one has to take to reach and walk a different path.

I would be unfulfilled, and probably dead.

Who are you that you are? What is the bottom line about you?

You have a deep seated judgment about yourself. And that is the pivoting point, the linchpin that your life is growing out of.

In 1987, in a Landmark Forum, there was an exercise to drive this deep seated judgment about yourself to the surface. To make the invisible visible.

The question was: Who are you that you are?

I raised my hand and I was called on. I started to ramble about fear of commitment, wanting to remain a student all my life…

The Forum Leader said: Oh, you are a failure!

I set down and didn’t hear another word for the rest of the session.

Are you intelligent enough to use this tool to change your life?

There is a tool that you could put in your tool box, and get out of tough spots, conquer every issue, and become a happy, wealthy, fulfilled person… It’s asking different questions… to see different paths.

But neither you, nor myself have been trained in it, so we keep on asking the same questions and end up with the same miserable life…
How do you develop the capacity to ask intelligent questions that also alter your reality?
Yesterday I had a long conversation with one of my students. I suddenly had an insight into soul correction, that had been hidden from my view before.

How did I get to that insight? I asked different questions.

Your life is like a boat on sea… Where it’s going is given by the drift 96%

Every learning is becoming. Every action that is aimed at learning but doesn’t lead to becoming… is not learning, it is just a pretense. Treading water. The drift.
But becoming is not easy, and it takes longer than you would expect. OK, longer than I expect. Longer than I have been expecting… 🙁
Why? because some of the learning requires you to be “right there”, ready for that particular learning. You first need to become ready.

I just watched two book reviews of the same book, Happiness Hypothesis by Jonathan Haidt. Why? Because I wanted to get the gist of it, without having to chew 300 pages plus.

But I am still interested to hear the principles, in 10 minutes instead of 10 hours… wouldn’t you?

The two reviews differed vastly, because of the reviewers.

Their IQ being the same, I looked at their vibration, and the difference was there… 20 points difference.

Vibration, in one way to look at, is the height from where you look at life.

The first guy looked at the book from a height from where you can see the principles, and can allow yourself to be guided by them. That is the usefulness of principles.

Where are you in self-realization?

Where are you in self-realization? Have you realized all the treasures you were given at birth?

I have been getting lots of critical and ugly emails and comments.

I am contemplating if I should get upset, then I watch Brene Brown’s talk on video, and shrug.
It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.
Depending on where you are in self-realization, you are going to love and cherish, or be so what about the video…


What is the truth about you? Why aren’t you as intelligent as you were born to be, as rich, famous, appreciated, happy, as you could be given by your inborn characteristics?

Abilities that are not available until your health number is above 30%

When you are not well, you are in survival mode. You live in scarcity. Everything seems to be about you. And not much can change about your life… given the focus (me-me-me) and therefore the questions you ask.

In scarcity everything is an is, and the questions you ask are from that “is”. Everything needs to be fixed, and you can’t very well leave things alone: they are wrong, wrong, wrong. Ugh…

You ask why question. Why is this happening to me? Why are you treating me like this? Why can’t I blah blah blah… get rich, understand, be loved, get well… you know those whiny questions that don’t make a difference, they just make you feel even worse.

“They” teach you that you can change your mindset, that you can easily get out of the scarcity mindset, but they are lying. They ignore that your existence is based on your physical well-being (and vice versa!) and unless you get better, nothing will change.

Your whole being comes from your physiology, mostly from your digestive tract, and thus your eating. Bummer, eh?
When you are well, you can start to ask different questions
