How many people it takes to turn H.Sapiens into Human Being?

The title sounds like the beginning of a a joke, like how many philosophers does it need to change a lightbulb?

Four; one to change the light-bulb and three to say ‘Yes, Socrates,’ ‘Well done, Socrates,’ ‘Good job, Socrates.’ Funny as hell… but not exactly what I wanted to do… although that joke talks to me deeper than it probably talks to you.

But I digress…

This morning I stumbled on a page from Dan Millman’s ‘The Life You Were Born To Live’ a quasi Kabbalistic astrology book.

I have always disliked it, but today I came to hate it.

Without the Big Bundle I would be…

Some 10 days ago I ate some food from my suddenly broken refrigerator.

I was on a coaching call, so I was distracted. Turns out the meat was tainted and I fell ill.

Not your usual bacterial type of food poisoning where you get diarrhea and maybe vomit… no, this one was from dead bacteria… And it promptly proceeded to destroy my intestines.

Have you ever seen roaster red peppers? The charred skin over the succulent flesh of the pepper?

Imagine this happening in your intestines… and unless you can remove the charred skin, unless you can keep the “flesh” from being eaten alive, you are going to die.

Of course no sane medical doctor would know what to do with that, or even that this is what was happening, without cutting you open, and killing you by exposing that virgin “flesh” to pathogens.

How To Stay Broke Forever

If you ever wondered where guidance comes from, here is a great example, from about 10 minutes ago.

In an email conversation, one of my “interns” was commiserating with me… because the refrigerator died again, and this time there is no excuse: it needs to be replaced.

But… in order to bring in a new one, I have to push stuff aside, clean the old one from now rotting stuff… and I feel very weak to even contemplate doing it.

So she says (my intern): “and everything feels heavy when you’re weak.”

Lucky formulation of a sentence… because it woke me up. This, what she says, is true across the board. It is true in the physical realm, and it is even more true in the “psychological” realm: if you feel weak you’ll do little.

And most people feel weak all the time. Their intellectual and physical exercise is from the car to the grocery store, or from the couch to the refrigerator.

If you get successful you’ll have to give back? Why? What?

I used to know this guy, a chiropractor, who had a son with a wife he divorced.

He charged little for his sessions, made all his money in cash, all to avoid paying child support. He could not stand the idea that much of his work went to his ex wife.

When the boy was 16, he came to live with his father… and miracle of miracles, the father started to look how to get rich, how to make more money.

If you are successful you have to give back? Why? What? How?
He preferred to have nothing to having something to give…

Being judged

We are judged all the time. Justly, unjustly, the feeling of being judged is familiar to all of us… and some of us is bothered and paralyzed by it more than others.

What’s painful in being judged is that the judgment contains a kernel of truth (or more) and the other part is the judging themselves: in judging they place themselves above us… simply unbearable to the sensitive Precious “I”.

This story is about my very recent “bout” with being judged… and shows what is on the other side of judgment… how to free yourself from it so it doesn’t sting quite that much… maybe not even at all.

OK, here we go:

If you’ve known me for a while, you know that I don’t do housework, or really shamefully little.

What does skill-building do to you, beyond building skills?

I realized today that I am still at the beginning phases of my “entrepreneurial” journey… meaning: I am not a seasoned entrepreneur.

Why that would be, you ask?

Today I had an insight. Everyone talks about knowing, maybe even knowing how to do something, but hardly anyone talks about building skills, the building blocks of a successful life.

There is a what to do… and then there is a how to do it… and they all look magical and at least foggy for most people…

There are so many how’s that I can promise you it takes years of diligent doing projects one after the other, with help, before you’ll get any good at it.

Here is an embarrassing example: I have been making my own capsules of supplements… I buy empty capsules and fill them with whatever I want to take.

Turning points: You are not really stuck where you are.

As I promised, I am continuing the discussion about powerlessness… the sense, the feeling, the belief of powerlessness.

This sudden awareness was helped along by Alex Hormozi’s video the other day. He talks, no, he rails against what makes you weak and fragile.

Watch it and learn. Get knocked conscious of what you are doing to yourself!

You may want to listen to it with slower speed… Alex talks really fast!

Now you see why I am in love with Alex… I want to be like him when I grow up! lol.

You speak and you are unaware that
every moment, with every word you are creating yourself, and who you are, for yourself.
In this overwhelming sense of powerlessness you feel that the only power you have is forcing**. Without that, you feel that you are powerless.

I am paying attention to the words you use. The weak, ineffective students use self-deprecating words about themselves as FACTS, not tendencies.

The somewhat more effective students use less of those…

So I observe myself and my words, spoken, written, or the words I say to myself..

I have come a long way. My behavior has changed… My speaking has changed, even the words I say to myself have changed!

It is all about personal power… I declared myself powerless at some point. I was reacting to an incident where I had no physical power. That was the foundation, the cornerstone of my being for decades, and still would be without doing this work.

I was overpowered by a grown man. A little girl, three years old going on four. I still bear the consequences of that… but by now only the physical ones.

My reaction to the pain was that I went unconscious… Even today I feel the pull to go unconscious, to check out when the going gets so tough that it looks hopeless.
But today, instead…
…I stop for a little bit… slowly and gently (no forcing!) I breathe. I allow the hopelessness some space to be. Emotionless I watch it. And when it calms down a bit I look what it is I can say in the matter.

With enough practice I can tell, without seeing how, that the hopeless situation is more often than not is not hopeless.

So I wait, PATIENTLY, and look with FRESH EYES.

What I say in the matter of hopelessness, it is the end, it is over, what I say: ‘we shall see. It isn’t hopeless until I say it is. And then it is time to start over, but not until then.’

By the way, my knee jerk reaction is still ‘f… this… I screwed up’ or ‘it’s hopeless’. But today, more often than not, I just sit there, or get a cup of tea, or go to the bathroom, giving myself some time to chill… Not acting on that ‘it’s over’ feeling has been the secret of many of my accomplishments.

Or the secret of my productivity. Or of my happiness.

The biggest regrets you’ll have on your deathbed are the things you didn’t do…
You did something else

I got a glimpse at how the Canadian Government controls its people

For years I have been pondering what the Canadian government does that makes its constituency so miserable and feel so superior at the same time.

Today a little corner of the mystery lifted.

A client of mine, “Finish What You Start” soul correction, has written me a long message describing his feelings and his behavior of being taken off task, off focus by idle curiosity, sensation and excitement seeking, while he would like to be focused, calm, well… and among others: sleep well.

I recommended that he takes Lithium Orotate, an inexpensive mineral supplement, that has worked miracles with my clients who had a difficulty staying focused, staying on target, getting to sleep on time, and getting enough restful sleep.

I myself take it.

Why? What does it do?

Let’s build a high vibration person

Let’s build a high vibration person… let’s build a skill, let’s build some skills

I am starting a new series that also shows a new direction I am taking my teaching/coaching practice.
The new direction is skill-building.
Obviously, if you are like most people, you have no idea what a skill is. You may say some inane things, but you still don’t know. Even if you read the “what color is your parachute” famous book that has been published and every year for 48 years, with over ten million copies sold.

I have taught it. I have lead the workshop. And I can safely tell you that in all those years, there wasn’t one person who learned from me, or from the book what a skill really is, and then develop skills that would take them far on the job market.
Why? Because skill is part of the invisible world.

More on the 10 dark years theory… or why it takes so long to succeed

Most winners in life master one thing in particular: they are astute. Astute: having or showing an ability to accurately assess situations or people.

Accurately assess… as opposed to have an opinion, have a good feel, or guess…

Is that a skill, a capacity, a virtue? What is it and how do you get it?

A have a new “most visited” post, the 31 quotes that give you chills… Why? Because it promises an experience… an experience you crave in the consistently dull and painful life you have.

Wanting to get chills without any other benefits says a lot about you and your life. What does it say? For one: you are a mystery to yourself…

I have said it before… humanity bars its way to evolution by throwing big words around.
