How we spend our days is of course how we spend our lives…

I am reading a book, The One Thing. Tai recommended it, but I had been resisting.

But like most of the books Tai recommends, it does have a kernel of gold… Maybe more than one kernel.

One of these is what he says about will power. Quite fascinating and very useful.
He says, that just like glycogen, brain food for thinking, will power uses energy, food, and can be depleted.
I don’t have to rely on will power, because about a year ago I started to reorganize my life to habitually do the things that serve me, and remove the opportunities for doing things that don’t serve me.

It did take will power to establish the habits, but I did it one at a time, and one at a time it was easier to see that the new habits served me.

The real reason Source says: don’t eat certain foods, like grains

Interesting. As soon as I ask a question, the answer lines up to be found by me… sometimes on the same day.

In my last article I said that I don’t know why it is not necessary to have gluten sensitivity or gluten intolerance to get way way better by removing grains.

Next thing I know I am reading this book on the bees and what causes them to die off and leave the planet in danger of extinction… and there is the answer…

I am quoting from the book: Bless the Bees, the Pending Extinction of Pollinators: Read the bolded… otherwise you’ll be bogged down by the funky names of chemicals… and quit reading! lol

Crave it to have it, crave it to keep it. Money? love? success?

The Zohar teaches us desire is a vessel that holds the Light. The idea is attaining blessings and good fortune is not enough to keep them. We must also maintain our desire for what we already have.
Not always an easy thing to do seeing as how our habit is to focus on what we don’t have.
Today, get in touch with the desire you first felt when you started studying Kabbalah, or dating your husband, or working at your dream job. Crave your life!
I had something happen today that was an interesting aspect of this same thing.

Diana and I are partners in our quest to create a business that would benefit both of us.

We have created seven projects, and all seven flopped.

What should you expect when you stop eating grains… any form, hidden or overt

The truth value of this article is 20%… Higher than most articles…

I Stopped Eating Grains for a Month—Here’s What Happened

Obviously 20% is high, but it also means that it is 80% not true. I muscle test, and it is partially exaggeration, partially using untrue justification for what happened… But it’s worth reading. It is a good partial truth…
So long, oatmeal; hello, clear skin
– by Allison Young

Here’s how the whole grain-free thing came about: A year or so ago I got sick, pukey sick, and couldn’t eat anything for 24 hours without retching. I felt terrible…but my complexion was the picture of heath. Even the dry, irritated patch on my chin that had become somewhat of a persistent problem, gone! Obviously something in my diet was irritating my skin, but what? I tried passing on coffee, processed foods, alcohol, refined sugar, but nada.

Clarity. Clarity is a superpower that you are not born with

Clarity is a lot like astuteness. It is the ability to glean the gold among the fake gold, among the pretend gold, among the inert, the ordinary.

There is an amazing scene in one of the Harry Potter movies: The scene when they go to find the horcrux in the bank. It is a cup if I remember correctly, in a bank vault owned by one of the Death Eaters. The horcrux hides a part of the Dark Lord’s soul, and to kill the Dark Lord Harry must kill the horcrux.

Fear in reality v. fear in the cave… How much of your life do you spend in your mind?

Every living thing must have fear or they would be dead already… meaning the species. Fear is a useful warning that live is dangerous, and every species is the food of another one.

So we have a reason to be afraid. In reality. Animals, cars, other people… all good reasons.

In reality fear is like a nudge. Lasts for a few moments. If you don’t pay attention: it will nudge you again. If the danger continues and you ignore the signs, it now turns the nudging on.

In the cave it is totally different. In the cave you your fear is almost totally continuous. Because in the cave reality and the idea of reality are not distinct, not separate, and you are insulated and separated from what is real.

In the cave your mind filters out most of the signals from reality, and replaces those signals with memory. memory of things that were maybe never real. With what you said, consciously or not consciously, about what actually happened.

Are you deserving? Or even your pets deserve more than you?

Many of us don’t bother to ask for more, or to challenge our status quo, or to dream bigger because we don’t feel like we deserve it. We feel, at the core, that we are “wrong.”

When we feel “wrong” in speaking up or fulfilling a deep need, it’s because we are getting in touch with something that wasn’t accepted in us when we were younger, or in a past life. For example, when people who weren’t allowed to feel joy start feeling joy, it confuses them, and even makes them uncomfortable. That’s why we sabotage ourselves.

Today, get in touch with what feels wrong to you. Give yourself permission to feel right.
Another aspect of this “being wrong” or “being the wrong one” is that we put everyone’s need before ours.

I developed that characteristic over time.

Just a week ago I had two cats. I spent more money on their food than my own, spent more time worrying about their well-being than about mine.

Depleted… One of the causes of brain fog… or foggy brain? Or brain that is not worth a dime.

You don’t have unlimited brain power.

The brain’s thinking/creative function, also choices, are located in the frontal cortex. That part is the latest addition to the multi-layered brain.

That part needs the most fuel.

People who don’t understand how their brain work will not amount to much. Their brain power will be used for mundane stuff and not for something that actually creates value for them and the world.

Using an analogy that, maybe, everyone can understand, let me use some examples that are more obvious.

If you had a quota of electricity you can use to heat your house, you would, probably, allow your hallways, your porch, your basement to remain cold, and would only heat the rooms where you spend a lot of time… or you’ll run out of electricity before you run out of time.

Why you do what you do, why you don’t do what you don’t do?

There are two types of students and there are two types of teachers.

Teacher One says: I’ll teach you!
Teacher Two says: I won’t quit until you learned it!

Student One says: I’ll come to your class, I’ll pay for your program and then I’ll try!
Student Two says: I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure I learn it and have it for myself.
