ADMIRE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN!

Admiring people who are worthy of our admiration doesn’t cost us anything. Same with admiring animals and plants and natural phenomena: no pain involved. Same with admiring great accomplishments by our fellow humans: no agony or agitation required.
I have said it before: being able to admire, to being in awe is one of the most uplifting and purifying experiences. Now you know who you are, in relation to that which you admire, and you know where you are going.
The above is a quote from Rob Brezsny’s newsletter. Of course Rob Brezsny is a “wearing pink color glasses” type of person, who refuses to see shadows. So here are the shadows that get revealed when you attempt to admire someone:

This took us to where we are now: not a pretty place. Any and every human is afflicted: no one is exempt.
An “avatar’s” job is to take you backwards so you can find your way from there… They have to have earned the right… by going back personally, backtracking themselves.
Most teachers try to cut across… oh the Buddhist, oh the Zen, oh the blah blah… they must know what they are talking about… b.s.
Maybe they know, maybe they don’t. But you haven’t done the journey back, so you are a second-hander at best, so shut the f… up!
I am sitting at my computer, observing the emails I get, observing people’s behavior.
It seems that the (Christian) world is disappearing into two main fantasy lands, two main unrealities: Christmas, and making cash infusion into their lives.
All horizontal plane, all hurry, all puppets on a string. All based on the unreality of lack. (I will write about this lack issue in another article… it’s important, so I may even email you to let you know…)
Your life is dominated by the separation of the two selves: the higher self is sent into its room for these last days of the year, and the lower self is throwing its weight around.
