From Hated to Loved – a case study

How I found myself loved, respected, and maybe even revered… a tale of extraordinary transformation, from hated smart know-it-all to loved

I used to be smart. At all cost. In fact smarter, that would be more precise to say. Smarter than you, him, them… 😉

You see, it almost didn’t matter whether I was happy, rich, pretty, healthy, as long as I could be smarter than you.

Most people hated me, and I had few if any friends.

Since my vibration rose to where it’s at today, I have had no issues, people actually like me, most of them anyway.

Recently I had a curious phenomenon happening to me.

Affirmations don’t work. Context works whether you want it or not. What’s the difference between an invented context and an affirmation?

Affirmations don’t work. Context works whether you want it or not. What’s the difference between an invented context and an affirmation?

“I’ve always been famous, it’s just no one knew it yet.” Lady Gaga

What’s the difference between you saying that sentence and Lady Gaga saying that sentence?

The difference is fundamental, and goes to the heart of the “human condition” and the quality of your life.

Human Being, as a species, is capable of self-direction, at least by design. Capable of self-evolvement, capable of using their WORD to create.

Whether Lady Gaga has this capacity, or this is just a bon mot… i.e. a clever saying, is immaterial.

Some people’s word matters (creates), and others’ word doesn’t.

Invisible Dynamic: Undeclared commitments: what is under the hood

My horoscope often tells me what I should be dealing with, either for myself, or for you and me.

This is the horoscope I received in my email box today, from Rob Brezsny:
If you were a snake, it would be a fine time to molt your skin. If you were a river, it would be a perfect moment to overflow your banks in a spring flood. If you were an office worker, it would be an excellent phase to trade in your claustrophobic cubicle for a spacious new niche. In other words, you are primed to outgrow at least one of your containers. The boundaries you knew you would have to transgress (step over the boundary, infringe or go beyond the bounds of) some day are finally ready to be transgressed. Even now, your attention span is expanding and your imagination is stretching.
Obviously he uses the word “transgress” to express that you are in some self imposed prison, he calls it container. Rob Brezsny is a typical California positive language dude… not a straight talk dude, like myself.

Now, whether it is addressed to me, or whether it is addressed to us, I am going to attend to both aspect.

The first thing to examine where it is where “we”, you and me, consider certainty, security, knowing more comfortable than stretching.

What’s your context? I just have to look at your life and I can tell. Can you?

The biggest price Positive Thinking junkies pay is this:

You can only have power in any situation if you are looking at what is so!

Why do I call positive thinkers junkies? Simple: they are, just like heroin addicts, unable to deal with the momentary feeling bad about anything, they need an escape from reality, at the expense of their life, their health, their relationships, their money.

When you are a positive thinker, your default context is that reality is just plain should not be the way it is.

For you it’s wrong, for me it is just what’s so… you are powerless, I am powerful.

Finding the silver lining is not available to you, until you see the reality of the situation. For example, yesterday I screwed up something and lost a lot of money. I saw what I did, I appreciated that this wasn’t a good time to lose money, and then I looked for a silver lining: it was a learning experience.

I always return to this two moments in my life. Seemingly insignificant moments, but turning points nevertheless.

The first one was when I saw a poster in a chiropractor’s office saying something like this: “In order to get to the next level, you need to give up who you have become.”

And the second was a poster with a dark sky with a tiny sliver of light showing through. The words said: turn your face to the light…

The first one is the principle of transformation: everything you are, everything you know is in your way of having what you want, what you are striving for. You need to give it up. Painful, frightening, but it’s so.

The second one is the idea of escape. Clinging to hope, clinging to “there is help”, clinging to being an effect, never a cause. The opposite of power, the opposite of transformation, the essence of positive thinking: the biggest enemy you have ever nurtured on your chest.

Stuff I want you to see: The Guru Myth, Its Destructive Power and A Cure.

Sophie’s notes: I do not necessarily agree with a lot what’s written in this article, yet it’s a good piece of writing, and I want you to read it.

I will add some notes when I have time… And some vibrational measurements of the people he mentions… Patience, it’s coming.
The Guru Myth, Its Destructive Power and A Cure. (Now w/Videos!)

Via Julian Walker on Feb 28, 2012

The Word and The Myth.
The word “guru” has taken on a life of its own in Western pop culture. The media and advertising talk about “stock gurus,” “marketing gurus,” sports gurus” and on and on – the characterization being someone who has a particular insight into their chosen field and is trusted by others as being able to solve certain problems or provide a highly effective strategy on how to be successful.

We know of course that the word originates in India and simply means “teacher.” In India one’s schoolteacher, dance instructor, parent – really anyone in an authoritative or instructive role might be considered your guru in their particular domain.

But when the word is used in a spiritual context it has a very specific meaning and is located within a very particular Hindu belief system. A guru in this sense is a cut above ordinary human beings. What distinguishes the guru from us mere mortals is that they are “enlightened” or “self-realized.”

Basically the claim is that there are certain very special people who have crossed a very specific threshold in their spiritual awareness – and they know the ultimate truth about the nature of reality.

Paradigm Shift, Paradigm Jump, what the heck is a paradigm and what’s in it for you? Planetary Ascension, my assssssss.

March 4, 2011 I’ve been talking about paradigm jumping as a major tool to improve your life. I have been talking about all kinds of stuff regarding paradigms, but what is it, and why should you care?
Evolution of a species is not linear.
There are evolutionary shifts, we could say paradigm shifts. The fish climbing out to dry land was a paradigm shift. A lot more freedom, a lot more stimuli, a lot more fun… but also a lot more danger… And evolutionary jump.

Humanity is poised to take an evolutionary jump, and by poised I mean: should take an evolutionary jump if it wants to survive as a species on this beautiful little planet called Earth.

Playground: It is never too late to have a happy childhood… Turn around fast enough to catch your shadow

This article explains how come that you can only interact with Maya, which is “not that” in Sanskrit, i.e. not reality, illusion, shadow play, the hologram, etc. It is much less mystical than the Vedanta imagines it: it is quite simple and it’s explained in this article. Without the capacity that I speak about here, you are doomed to continue living in Maya for all your life. But in Maya, you are fighting with shadows, the shadows of reality, and fighting shadows you don’t have any power. So this article shows you the key to power, the key to effectively living your life, accomplishing what you came to accomplish and ultimately to fulfillment and satisfaction. Is that exciting enough for you?
How does your mind avoids transformation? It seems quite simple, but it is hard to get, because the mind doesn’t even allow you to see it once…

Only when you notice that you are not looking that you start looking. When someone else points it out, you clam up… and will NOT look…

So what do you actually do when I ask you to look? When I ask you to notice? When I want you to catch yourself?

Weird as it may sounds: you go, instantly, seamlessly, and unawares to the mind’s main function: meaning.

Anything that has meaning attached to it, i.e. it “means” something, is already one removed from observation.

Comparing: The Binary, The Pendulum, The Tedium, The Lifeless Life… PRISON BREAK!

Do you work on your mind to make it better? You are making the bars of your prison shinier…
One of the activities of the mind  that takes you out of the present is comparing. If you are new here, you probably think that I am talking about your brain… but the mind is only a limited function of the brain, the brain is like the world, and the mind is like a room in your house… much smaller, and totally insulated from the world.

In this article, we are going to examine the mind’s behavior that is much like the behavior of a pendulum.

Remember, the more you are able to be out of the mind and in the present, the more intelligent you are able to be… I hope that looks like a value, like a virtue you could go for… And if it does, keep on reading this article.

The 2-year old article I republished yesterday, started talking about the mind-activity: comparing. It dealt with your judgments about people. You judge what they do compared to your standards and ideals about what people should be doing.

Unfortunately, or thankfully, you can’t live up to your own standards and ideals, so you judge yourself too.

Is life all it’s cracked up to be? Life owes you something: it is not fair!

If I asked you to observe your face without changing it first and without going to the mirror, could you do it?

One of the most useful things I have ever read, that if you use specific muscles in your face to produce a micro-expression, your emotions will follow.

I first heard something similar some 40 years ago: one of my co-workers got pregnant and she walked around with a smile on her face. I didn’t know I was an empath at the time, but I knew she was faking it. I knew that inside she wasn’t smiling. In fact she was sad. Why? I didn’t know her well, didn’t know her circumstances. Maybe she was disappointed, she had imagined her life different, and there it was, she was working full time, pregnant, and that wasn’t fair.

For some reason incongruencies like this stuck in my head, and kept me busy revisiting them. I spent time in front of the mirror trying to figure out what made those facial expressions a lie. I tried to feel the face and watch the feelings.

I didn’t know about micro-expressions, the tiny involuntary muscle contractions that last a split second but belie the real feelings masked by poker face, a smile, or whatever the mask is.

This discovery and this practicing, learning to feel my face became, as it turns out, a tool that has assisted me in identifying the “demons”, the lies, the pretenses in me. The beliefs that were killing my life.

One of these facial expressions is a very young face: corners of the mouth curve down, the area under the nose is tense, and the outside edges of the eye brow also turn down. Five muscles, if I am not mistaken.

What is enlightenment? Are your gurus, sages, mystics enlightened?

What is enlightenment? Are the gurus, sages, mystics of the day enlightened? If their enlightenment were a sex organ, how much would they have to play with?

Enlightenment is a big word. It is a huge accomplishment.

Enlightenment is a way of being that is unburdened by the mind, the concerns society imposes on you. It is a simple way of being joy, rejoicing with life is the normal.

Just like with many other things in the domain of being, the nature of reality is such, that you can only see the tip of the iceberg of enlightenment.

We see the peacefulness of the person, the smile.

If is hard to tell if a person is peaceful as an act, carefully rehearsed, or the result of coming to peace.

But when I merge with their body, their feelings, their being, I can tell what the thin veneer is hiding: an unpeacefulness, that is often worse than yours.
