On Procrastination: part 2: the hold-back forces.

Now that we have seen that what is underneath procrastination is the fact that we are still more, much more interested in avoiding unpleasantness, humiliation, etc. than moving towards some purpose.

And avoiding unpleasantness, will, at best, keep you the same… no movement.

From the pdf of the last procrastination article, we saw, that unless you can invent a yummy enough goal, something important enough to go for, you will not be able to move from dead center. Bottom line: procrastination is not a behavioral issue, it is a perfect illustration of physics: if the energies on a body are in balance, the body will not move, unless it was already in movement before the balance.

The Tiny Steps Approach To Life, aka trimtabbing or Kaizen

Warning: the biggest learning is in the PS!
I could make enemies with this article. But don’t worry: I won’t, unless by accident.

The success or business gurus, whose business will suffer if you follow this path, aren’t in the habit of checking what people say about the stuff they teach. They are so sure they got you, hook, line and sinker, that they will never suspect that they lost you to some other theory of success.

And they will be right.

Are you being used?

Lots of people, women and men, have a feeling that they are just placeholders or commodities for their friends or lovers.

Even coaches and gurus can have that feeling: actually this is what lead me to start this article.

Whenever I have a question about someone, or have time, I look up the online profiles of people that want to become a student of mine.

So I looked up someone today who has been a student, on and off for about two years now. I have had mixed feeling about her, so I looked her up.

What is the difference between a blind man and you?

What is the difference between a blind man and you?

Love

Is calling that fuzzy feeling, that uplifting feeling, what the love gurus meant for us to be? The love they say god is?

I don’t think so.

I think no person in their right mind would think that god, whatever that may be, is sitting there loving you up… feeling love.

So what does that make you? A person not in their right mind? Exactly.

Defending Your Life Movie Illustrating Raising Your Vibration

Defending Your Life
This is a review of the movie, Defending Your Life, from the point of view of raising your vibration.

How does higher vibration look to you if it is your own higher vibration? How would you know? What would the world look like?

These are the questions I attempt to answer in this article.

In my conversation with Nancy I said “little brains” and I would like to say where it came from… in some way say, that I didn’t mean what it implies, I was quoting from a movie.

The movie, Defending Your Life from 1991, is a movie by Albert Brooks, starring himself and Meryl Streep. It’s a comedy, and it’s wonderful.

The synopsis of Defending Your Life is interesting: Our hero, Albert Brooks, quite a knucklehead, dies of a driving mistake.

He finds himself alive on a bus with other people, who, it turns out, also died that same day.

Why Knowing Yourself Is The Foundation Of Personal Growth

Know thyself… said the Greeks, and I can’t agree more.

Unless you are clear about where you are, what are your limitations, what are your inner pulls (conation), your results in life will be puny, in every area of life.

Know Thyself If men would search diligently their own minds, and examine minutely their thoughts and actions, they would be more cautious in censuring the conduct of others, as they would find in themselves abundantly sufficient cause for reproof. “It is a good horse that never stumbles;” and lie is a good man indeed who cannot reproach himself with numerous slips and errors.” “Every bean has its black,” and every man his follies and vices.

The adage also teaches us to set a proper value upon ourselves, and to be careful not to do anything that may degrade us. It is not known to whom we are indebted for this golden rule; we only learn that it is of very long standing, and was held in such high estimation by the ancients, that it was placed over the doors of their temples, and it was also supposed by them, that ” E coelo descen- dit,” it came down from heaven. ” ‘Man know thyself!’ tins precept from on high Came down, imagined by the Deity; Oh! be the words indelibly imprest On the live tablet of each human breast.

But how do you Know Yourself? Know yourself as others know yourself? Know about yourself? Know what psychologist made up as a category for yourself? Do the test that was devised for testing privates sent to fight in the VietNam war?

People want to know themselves to make it easier to win… to make it easier to beat bad habits. To justify why they are the way they are.

My experience (as a coach, 30 years and thousands of people), has been that you do best when you know your machine. Your machine has a bent… an inclination, and if you know it you can be successful… with any machine.

Some 30 years ago I had a car I didn’t have to lock, because only I could drive it. It would stall for everyone else. I drove it another 100 thousand miles. I got it after the previous owner gave up on it. It had 160 thousand miles on it.

The knowledge: know yourself, here, with that car, applied to the car and myself, together. The car was seriously flawed… but no one could have guessed from the outside, when I drove it.

I have dyslexia, serious, but I read one or two books every week. I also write for a living.

I had two major episodes of brain damage: you wouldn’t know it. I know how to drive my machine.

My soul correction is arrogance and condescension. It’s taken me longer to drive my life with these horrible afflictions, but knowing it made it possible.

When you know all the quirks of your machine, when you know what is your unscratchable itch, when you know what the machine will do unless you compensate for it, you can take your machine anywhere, any heights, any distance, any achievement.

As you work to grow in different areas in you life, it is important to really know yourself.

Caterpillars don’t become butterflies

I clicked the publish button by mistake… Which means I’ll add my notes to this article as soon as I can and republish it.

But my notes are going to be very disappointing for many… because this article and what is says is 60% truth value… and applies directly to humans, not only to butterflies and caterpillars.

It, in essence, says that in order to go on a higher plane of existence (butterfly) you need to die your current one first.

And this is what it’s all about… How to die your current existence, and take NOTHING from it to the higher plane.

In my upcoming Money course… no name yet, but I am leaning towards “transform yourself so money can come to you”? too long? hell yeah…

Instead of teaching you tricks, I’ll endeavor to transform you from a caterpillar to a butterfly.
