I had been miserable for a few days now…

So when this happens I pay attention.

Of course my attention is splintered: some of it goes into feeling sorry for myself, some of it to ‘fix’ the misery… or its seeming cause. and some of it to see what is REALLY going on.

I always say that if you can go through hell with your eyes open and with wide cone of vision, you are going to see what lead you there and what you can do to reduce the likelihood of going through hell again any time soon.

How did the 1000 manage to become the 1000?

The book ‘The Art of Hunting Humans’ calls them the Superiors.

The 1000 are the producers of the world… and believe it or not, they got there and stay there by CONSISTENTLY PRACTICING certain ways of being and behaving that are very different from how others behave.

According to muscletesting, they turned on the required genes by practicing those behaviors CONSISTENTLY.

The masses, you, the eight billion, would want someone to turn on the genes for them… but NEVER would consider that genes are not some fork or spoon. Some object lying about. and when you want to eat you can pick them up and use them… the capacities are not even visible, not obviously available unless you initiate the behavior to use them. You need to initiate… from some vision, or demand of yourself… Do you have any demands of yourself?
According to Alex Hormozi’s videos he is aware that without seeing nothing new can happen.
And he is also aware that without looking no seeing can happen, at least not consistently. Like one swallow doesn’t make a spring, a glimpse, won’t alter your behavior.

And without the discipline to consistently act on what you see… ditto.
The role of the environment
And what he also saw, through his own experience, personal and through people he coaches, that if you put yourself into an environment that is not conducive, does not agree, or even negate growth, or anything new, you’ll lose all your advantage, and pretty much everything you have ever achieved with the new faculties you created through consistent hard work.

This is why I warn people against ‘going home for the holidays’… or any gatherings that are like that.

One of the elements of growing is abandoning, leaving behind old beliefs that are kept in existence by speaking.
All beliefs are words… speaking.
The human condition, the condition of the talking monkey is that everything, or nearly everything is through language… for a human.

Your personal reality,

who you are for yourself,
who you are in the world, and
how the world occurs to you is made up of two components…

and that is true for everyone… that is the human condition…

One part is facts. More or less… depending on how deep inside the cave of the mind you live.

Reality is all facts… The cave is all talking. The proportion of the two will give you what you produce results with, what you produce your life with. Some of my students have as little as 1% of their personal reality is facts.

This situation, the human condition, is getting worse worldwide… People see less and less facts, and more an more ‘narrative’ which is all talk.

2. The second part is made of some speaking. Words. Interpretations and the resulting beliefs. About yourself, and about the world.

Many of these words come from the people in your life… life now, or life before… They KNOW how you are… impatient, angry, hasty, someone who can’t do anything right.
And they keep on repeating

What if you find that your word has no power?

One of the hardest things for anyone is to know themselves.

And not knowing yourself is the cause, not just correlation, of the most misery.

Why you don’t know yourself? Thousands of reasons… knowing yourself also obeys the Anna Karenina Principle.
This article will not be about that. This article will be about the price you pay for not knowing yourself.

You can be in love with yourself and yet not love yourself

I just finished listening to a 30-minute audio where the dude was sharing how great he was, what great things he does, and how much money he was going to make with it.

I muscle tested. His narcissistic measure from the Starting Point Measurements) was 99%.

Then I muscle tested if he loves himself… and the answer was no.
Self love is a function of integrity.
His level of integrity is 1%.

Why so low?

Because the context is all about him, building himself up, tooting his own horns, and it is fully and wholly desire to receive for the self alone.

I have literally stopped buying his products, or attending his live classes I have been paying for. I listen to the replays, but won’t go and sit there hating him, and feeling dumped upon, or being sold.
So what is going on, and what is underneath this behavior?
This is one of the attitudes, one of the behaviors that bother me a lot. This is when someone positions themselves higher than they have ‘earned’ to be.

It is not rare, it is almost everyone, whether it evident through their words or not.

What am I talking about?
You, for example, think you are not good enough… so it wouldn’t apply to you, right?
Wrong.

It is part of the human condition even though it defies any reasonable thinking.

You have two selves. One that is your imaginary self who can do things. Who can rescue puppies, and talk to thousands… in your imagination.
And then you have the person, the self, who bumbles through life, and can’t do anything right… all in comparison. Comparison with the hero self… who doesn’t exist.

The tension between them, the judgment between them, the dislike between them is what gives you your quality of life.
What?

That dude who is a perfect 10 in everything in his imagination is really a seven or less in everything he does.

Not a big gap? Tell him that. He, unconsciously, compares himself with perfection, and he suffers. He knows. And he knows that his life is a lie…

He can’t tolerate just being a good guy, he has to be the best of the best.

And he can’t.

And he suffers.

I see this or versions of this in my clients…

Most won’t do a lick of work, but that is not what I am talking about. I am talking about the two selves, the self-hate, the ‘can’t tolerate being just a guy’ syndrome.

Most people have a bigger than big gap between their two selves, the imaginary, the ideal, the unreal, and the actual person who is doing things in reality.
Until you are likeable to yourself, you are not likeable to others either.
So what can you do if your two selves are not able to like each other?

You may need to ‘attack’ this issue from two sides. You want to get the two selves closer so they can hug.

Lowering your self-evaluation, your ideal is the more effective of these two actions, but you may still need to do both to get the two selves closer.
You need to lower the bar…
One of my clients decided to get up an hour earlier every

How To Beat Depression Without Medication

How To Beat Depression Without Medication

Eppic Smith
You Can Beat Depression… if you recognize it as depression
I found this article when I searched for the phrase “beat depression.”

Many of us are depressed. Depression can be low-grade or raging… I am most interested in the low-grade depression, it is easier to beat depression that is low-grade without medication.

The writer of this article uses valid arguments for self-management, but misses a lot of factors, like what did he do, exactly, that allowed him to beat depression to begin with.

He says he took responsibility for his feeling down and out, ad he kicked the medications… so far so good.

But what he isn’t saying is that depression is a sign of something.

What is it a sign of? In my experience, as a once depressed person (for 40 years!) I have noticed a few common characteristics with my coaching clients.

I lacked desire.
I was not happy with myself
I could not see myself clearly doing what I thought I wanted to do… the picture was there like fuzzy patches, but not like a movie.

So, how do you get out of these three interconnected and synergistic (negatively) states of mind?

I think that the easiest is to start with number 2.

Why? Because it is easier go get happy(er) with yourself, especially because you need energy for the other two, and having a good feeling about yourself will give you energy.

You can also start really small, like doing something that you consider hard to do, but still doable, like

The rudiments of integrity… without mastering kindergarten and elementary school, you can’t go to high school or college

One of my struggling students sent this to me so that I can share it with you.

I take this concept way beyond this level in my programs… but I can’t build on air…

So if you want to do my courses, and succeed with them, do this first. It’s half hour instruction and weeks of practice… like everything worth having, it takes practice, it is a process, and you cannot jump.

I did everything he suggests about 30 years ago… when I first did the Communication Course…

I paid $530. This is about 30% of that course, and you can get it for free.

I listened to it… and it is valuable. I don’t teach as well as this guy… so I don’t mind that you’ll learn this from him.

Watch the videos. You’ll love them.

Become a match to your dreams

When I google this phrase, “become a match to your dreams” all the sites I find talk about the Law of Attraction or manifestation… so I have to suppress my distaste for the misdirection those sites and those teachers carry… and just relate to the sentence itself.

Most of the people, when I ask them what they want, talk about stuff that they have no business talking about. Most, I say, because I do have some, a few, exceptions.

When you consider that you have to work for everything… that the Law of Attraction, if there were anything valid like that, would say: when you are ready, when you have done your work, fully and without cutting corners, then the results will follow.

That is the REAL Law of Attraction. The law that tells you that you can earn what you want with work, that is complete, and thorough.

You have invested so much into spiritual teaching!

These should be frequently asked questions, and yet no one asks these questions, as a rule

I am continuing the practice of giving free strategy sessions to people who buy the Starting Point Measurements.

It’s work for me. It’s hard on my body having to be with their resistance, fear, or whatever they are feeling. It’s often talking to people whom, in normal circumstances, I would avoid. Why? Because they are argumentative, because they are often hostile, and because only one in 13 knows that I am an empath, what is an empath, and how I got to the measurements I got to. So they never did any work on knowing what they are paying for.

So, it’s hard. And yet. Sitting in my ivory tower is not useful any more.
Each person brings something to light I would not have otherwise seen.
For example a person yesterday. Soul correction “Finish What You Start”… I have other people with this soul correction, and they are argumentative. But I never realized that this is part of this soul correction. Arguing is a type of resistance: you block input and you put yourself in control… I don’t do well with people who argue. They, intentionally, put me on the defensive, and I have nothing to defend…

So for this learning I am grateful. I don’t work well with this type of soul correction… with this type of attitude.

The second thing I learned from this person is through a question he asked:
How come that I am still doing so poorly after I have invested so much into spiritual teaching?

What is the shelf-life of your word? Any idea?

This is part two for whatever day it is. Thursday.

So what I said in the previous segment is that until you can tell the difference between what you say and what the machine says, there’s no chance that you can change your context.

Now, it’s a little bit deeper than that. Because … and that’s why without integrity nothing works.
