Growth, change is an epigenetic shift. First plug the leaks

This article is about consolidation. Consolidation of what you have achieved… Without consolidation there is no growth… or if there is: it is called unmanaged growth… aka cancer.

Genetics is hardware. Epigenetics is software. Loosely speaking.

Capacities, in the DNA, can be expressed, switched on or switched off, like a plugin that provides additional functionality in a software.

When you change, you do more than just surface changes: in effect you change how the DNA, capacities, etc. get switched on or switched off… you are creating epigenetic changes. And not just physical, the only aspect ‘science’ is talking about, but the whole person. Not just fat/skinny, health conscious, life-unconscious aspect… but really the whole intelligent person who you are or… ahem… who you are not.
The first phase of growth is to plug the leaks.

The rudderless, directionless, low energy, and the floater

I had a conversation the other day with my core group. They felt to me rudderless, directionless, low on energy… like a floater.

What’s a floater, you ask? A floater is like stork sh!t… floats in the air and occasionally drops on the ground. Storks are known to poop while in the air… their poop dries out and starts its own rise and fall journey with the air stream… no innate motive power. A floater is like that.

Adjustable genes leave you unable to change?

Want to change your life but have been unable to change yourself?
your WHO is producing all the WHAT… Unless the WHO changes, nothing will change permanently.

You seem inexorable, unchangeable… and misery is the result.
Warning: this article will need you to read it, not just skimp…
We’ll look at your relationship to reality first, and its effect on intelligence.

The most surprising, mind boggling aspect of intelligence is not what you are capable of. That is not an important measure. But how much of that potential  intelligence you can have available, that is a useful is and important measure and it depends on your own actions.

Looking is an action that connects you to reality.

You can look in four basic ways:

Looking to see,
looking to understand,
looking if you agree or disagree,
looking to be entertained, are four different actions.

Only the first: looking to see is an action that looks in reality.

Looking to understand tries to shape what it looks at such that what it sees fits what is already there… stored in the mind… Tree of Knowledge. Everything that doesn’t fit: it claims it doesn’t understand, but the fact is: it rejects.

Or alternatively you say: I am confused. What you don’t say because is that it doesn’t fit… because if you did, it would be easier to catch that you are trying to fit something into what you have already heard and accepted as fact. Or what you have made up and now protect as the truth.

If you have a vested interest in a particular story, you will never look to see: you are limited to looking the other three ways…

I’ve heard a story of a movie or film that flat-earthers made to prove that the earth is flat.

A person with more up-to-date views of the earth saw an ad where this sentence grabbed his attention: if the earth were spherical (round) then if you climbed on a tall place and looked the horizon would be curved… but it isn’t.

So he said: let me look to see… and he did. He brought fresh eyes to the issue… and concluded whatever he concluded (I don’t remember what… sorry) but if it were me I would look and see if a person can go high enough and if one went high enough, if one would be able to see the curve.

I am looking to see. I am looking to check how high I would have to go, and I am looking if I would actually see the curve in the horizon.
Quoting:
Visual daytime observations show that the minimum altitude at which curvature of the horizon can be detected is at or slightly below 35,000 ft, providing that the field of view is wide (60 degrees ) and nearly cloud free. That is 11 kilometers, higher than the highest peak of the Himalayas.
But if you look, I have accepted that the earth is round, and now, for me, it is Tree of Knowledge, so I am NOT REALLY looking to see… I am looking to confirm.

I have a longtime friend who is certain that Liberals are pedophiles, liberals are the enemy, blah blah blah.

When I ask what do you

Remembering the future… or how to cause self-trust?

Remembering the Future…
What future? What remembering? What can it do? What is self-trust? Is it the same as self-esteem?

I have been watching, or better said, listening to videos of Jordan Peterson, and others that show up when I go to youtube… it seems that some thinking people are realizing that it will take some actions to turn all this craziness around.

Jordan Peterson, I am realizing, is a psychology professor… dabbling in pseudo science… and listening to him is not good for anyone… He can’t see the future…

Listening to an interview with Aldous Huxley was valuable in seeing that what he saw, in 1958 is spot on… it is already happening… He saw the future…

Probably the most valuable to me was research that couples disgust with certain personality… I am not ready to share what I see… until I see it clearly…

But for now, let’s see what remembering the future is about and how it can start straightening your life, how it can start empowering you, how it causes self-trust… and be prepared: it is counter-intuitive.
Remembering the future.
Sounds weird… how could you remember what hasn’t happened yet, but suppose that the theory is true that all past, present and future are happening all at once… but we only have perceptional access, through our perception organs, eyes, ears, touch, etc. to the present.

The past we store in the mind… and the future, as far as we are concerned, hasn’t happened yet.

But what if some part of the human brain can connect to that future and even get guidance from it, that are more useful than what you can hear from a teacher, from a guru, from a book, from anyone.

Why? Because that future self you connect to is you… and it has accomplished what you are yet to accomplish… success, health, happiness, fulfillment, a joyful life.

Is there such a future self? IS? you are asking… No is… but could be.

If you continue doing what you have been doing, the future is not going to be able to tell you how he or she got happy, fulfilled, accomplished… But that is the point. Unless you do different, the future is already written… and for most of us it is not a happy future.
Do… I said. Not believe, not imagine, not fantasize, not plan… DO. Action. Different action.
From where you are, in this very moment, there are infinite possible actions can take you to the next moment… And only some of those, followed by another lead to a future, where you are happy, fulfilled, etc.

We are going to pick, of all the possible futures, the one

where you have what you really want…
The future you really can have,
what is REALLY possible for you…
not the future you habitually imagine
not the future you you cannot actually live, because life, however we try to lie about it, does have some restrictions, some more severe than others.

Here is an off the wall example: if you were born female, even if you have a sex change surgery, you can’t father

What’s the difference between Ray and most people?

What is my biggest challenge based on my experiences with my non-producing clients?

First off: Not everyone is a non-producer… this guy, Ray is not one.

Here is his story of how he got hired for his dream job..

A decade or so ago Ray was a programmer, and he hated his job, hated his life. It needed none of his personality, which is often the reason you hate your job. I hated architecture mainly for the same reason…

One day he heard about the option to be a ‘sales engineer’, a sales person to sell software, technical stuff… Talking… yeah, that was more up his alley.

The interview was to do a sales presentation in front of two women…

He had his powerpoint ready…

His first slide said: Warning! This presentation includes subliminal messages. That got the two women puzzled…

I am currently working on changing my sleep schedule, to get up around five… So that I can get more done before I have to talk to anyone, or have anyone around with strong emotions, hijacking my attention.

Your direction is more important than your speed…

Direction is more important that speed. You may be going nowhere fast!

…In everything.

There is a very educational tale in the 67 steps –> that few consider life altering. I do.

An airplane makes an emergency landing in the jungle. The plane carried a group of engineers to a meeting.

The engineers developed a superior way to cut the branches and trees at a precise 45 degrees, and they were cutting a path with good speed.

A non-engineer passenger, in the meantime, climbed a tall tree and looked around He saw habitation from there… the path cut by the efficient engineers ran in the wrong direction… Continue reading Your direction is more important than your speed…
