From inflated self to humbling self. Counterintuitive. Works

‘They’ don’t just talk much about your desire, to whip it up, about your why, and about goals, they also talk an awful lot about your self-image. They want you to create a self-image that is like god… perfect… flawless… blah blah blah.

Oh, and they call it self-esteem.

Esteem or estimating is guessing the value of something. Underestimating, overestimating… But value is not real. It always in the eye of the beholder. It’s not intrinsic to the subject.

They suggest that overestimating your value will be good for you. Bah humbug.

We all have multiple personalities… How does your delusional self impact your life?

We all have at least two distinct and recognizable selves that we switch back and forth between.

In this article we’ll look at intelligence, but we could also look at the character, the attitude, the moral fortitude of the selves… but because I look at the world through the frame of smart and stupid, and only secondarily through loyal/disloyal, I’ll write this article on the intelligence level of your two selves.

Now, let me start with a statement: there is nothing wrong with being stupid. As long as you know and embrace that you are stupid.

Living powerfully, what will it take to defy the odds?

Living powerfully, what will it take to defy the odds?

Do you live powerfully? If the answer is yes, then I can tell you that you have a strong self-esteem.

What is your self-worth?
And I don’t mean how much you want to make an hour, a day, a week, or a year. What you want has nothing to do with self-worth!

Self-worth also has nothing to do with what you know, what you can do, what other people think you can do or can’t do. Self-worth is how much you think, deep inside, when the chips are down, when life looks hopeless, how much do you think you are worth then?

Weight, relationship, money you desire… are you stuck in these areas?

What does it take to attract your desire?

In January, people make resolutions, that address some of their deepest desires.

Weight, relationship and money are the three most frequent wishes, and most of them never go anywhere, no change, and yet another year makes hope lost a little bit more, confidence lost a little bit more, self-esteem lost a little bit more.

Why would this be?

There are many reasons, but I’d like to address one: it takes several inner and outer changes to bring about the capacity to change any of the three main areas.

And because we weren’t told how to change our inner world, little by little, one tiny change at a time, we never actually do it, and unless your inner world, your being changes, your outer world, your weight, your relationships, your money situation can’t change.

Examples to this what happens when there are sudden and unprepared-for changes that came from the outside.

Regrets, Resentments, and other vicious Life-Killers

Regrets, I’ve had a few … .How many of us are stuck in ruts because we cling to past slights, traumas, missed opportunities, and betrayals? The best way to let go and move forward is to acknowledge and accept those negative things you did (or had done to you) as steps on the path that brought you to where you need to be today.

Today, recall the pain of your past. Allow yourself to get to the point where you can accept that they were blessings; the perfect things that helped you build a new you. If you can release your grip on the anger, sadness, and regret, then it will be easier to spot the Light in the darkness. (quoted from daily kabbalah tuneup)
Interesting that this would come up just now.

I am working with a client/friend, let’s call her DD. She has been doing great. She has gotten in touch with the light in herself and her power to choose.

She is severely overweight and it’s effecting her overall health, but effects more than anything, her self image.

‘My’ amazon best seller is now out and is a best seller

My amazon best seller is out.
The book I co-authored. I paid a thousand bucks to be part of that project.

First it was exciting. There was also fear, ‘am I good enough?’. Then a whole month where my attention was stolen by the topic of the book (The Entrepreneur Code) and every article I wrote, every conversation went to the topic… entrepreneurship.

Then I wrote six different article-length chapters, and discarded them all.

Then the deadline came and I got no notification from the organizers… So I sent an email: when is the deadline? They answered: It’s today, but you can get two more weeks.

That is when I knew, that is when it hit me that I was taking this too seriously.

So I submitted what I had, and said good bye to any expectation that my thousand bucks (YOUR thousand bucks) would bring me any joy, any satisfaction.

The book is out. It is a ‘best seller’ on Amazon… which means nothing. It is by manipulating the numbers. You just ask the 14 ‘authors’ to email their peeps to buy the book. Am I asking you to buy the book right now? No.

The book is listed on my ‘author’s page’ is probably the only thing I got out of this deal. And a lot of people search for my name on Amazon before they decide that I am legit.
I had some learning: It is a business model for the person whose name is on the cover of the book, who collects the thousand dollars.
He might word his model like this:
I publish a series of book that have multiple authors. I decide on the topic, have the cover designed, announce the opportunity to become a ‘best selling author’ for a day to people who aren’t. Post the book with a delayed publishing date on Amazon.
I collect the money. Employ an editor, and wait. The editor puts the ‘chapters’ written by the other ‘authors’ together in kindle format, and I sit pretty in the knowledge that each ‘author’ will promote the book once it is out, or even before that.
That is what creates the ‘best seller’ numbers.
That is that. Not a bad gig if you can get it. About 700 dollars for about 10 hours of work… AND his track record of publishing Amazon best sellers. I talk more about track record a little later.

Kind of a letdown to me.

OK, done. No big deal.

Now, what did I do here?

I was using a technique you can call journaling, where my intention was to create clarity, and to pull to myself, take responsibility for what belongs to me.

I gave myself access to power. My personal power.

To see that I own what belongs to me. That I drive the car that is my life.
And to see that if I do drive that life, then I can take it anywhere.
At some point in the story I had an urge to blame. To call myself a victim of a scam. A con.

But I got what I paid for. I paid to be published as part of a multi-author book that would be a best seller on Amazon.

It is a best-seller right now. And my name is listed there…

Did I make a good deal? I don’t think so.

But was it worth going through the steps

Remembering the future… or how to cause self-trust?

Remembering the Future…
What future? What remembering? What can it do? What is self-trust? Is it the same as self-esteem?

I have been watching, or better said, listening to videos of Jordan Peterson, and others that show up when I go to youtube… it seems that some thinking people are realizing that it will take some actions to turn all this craziness around.

Jordan Peterson, I am realizing, is a psychology professor… dabbling in pseudo science… and listening to him is not good for anyone… He can’t see the future…

Listening to an interview with Aldous Huxley was valuable in seeing that what he saw, in 1958 is spot on… it is already happening… He saw the future…

Probably the most valuable to me was research that couples disgust with certain personality… I am not ready to share what I see… until I see it clearly…

But for now, let’s see what remembering the future is about and how it can start straightening your life, how it can start empowering you, how it causes self-trust… and be prepared: it is counter-intuitive.
Remembering the future.
Sounds weird… how could you remember what hasn’t happened yet, but suppose that the theory is true that all past, present and future are happening all at once… but we only have perceptional access, through our perception organs, eyes, ears, touch, etc. to the present.

The past we store in the mind… and the future, as far as we are concerned, hasn’t happened yet.

But what if some part of the human brain can connect to that future and even get guidance from it, that are more useful than what you can hear from a teacher, from a guru, from a book, from anyone.

Why? Because that future self you connect to is you… and it has accomplished what you are yet to accomplish… success, health, happiness, fulfillment, a joyful life.

Is there such a future self? IS? you are asking… No is… but could be.

If you continue doing what you have been doing, the future is not going to be able to tell you how he or she got happy, fulfilled, accomplished… But that is the point. Unless you do different, the future is already written… and for most of us it is not a happy future.
Do… I said. Not believe, not imagine, not fantasize, not plan… DO. Action. Different action.
From where you are, in this very moment, there are infinite possible actions can take you to the next moment… And only some of those, followed by another lead to a future, where you are happy, fulfilled, etc.

We are going to pick, of all the possible futures, the one

where you have what you really want…
The future you really can have,
what is REALLY possible for you…
not the future you habitually imagine
not the future you you cannot actually live, because life, however we try to lie about it, does have some restrictions, some more severe than others.

Here is an off the wall example: if you were born female, even if you have a sex change surgery, you can’t father
