Returning to the fork in the road where we took a wrong turn

If you find yourself on the wrong road… trace your way back to where you went astray… and choose a different road.
Why? Because trying to go across to where you really wanted to go, without going back,  is fraught with death traps.

Humanity, some seven thousand years ago, took a wrong turn. In just a few words: they started to replace reality with word pictures in the mind. Concepts.

More about Desire, And why desire, normally, is a plague

Desire is a mental energy. And it is impossible to desire something, something you have not first imagined or seen.

So desire is comparing an image of something and the way it is in reality. That gap is what is called desire.

Now, desire has this imagination element, that shows the object of desire, the finished ‘product’ as if it were already reality. And in that mistake, in that mirage lies the mischief.

Addictive Tendencies in Sharing The Light

This article is evergreen. I wrote it nine years ago… and it still speaks to me… the addictive tendencies will not disappear with time…
Yehuda Berg writes:

There are people in our lives who don’t want to receive what we have to give them. …

… we invest efforts into keeping some relationships burning in our lives that we’d be better off letting burn out.

… life is all about circuitry. When we share our Light with people who don’t want to receive it, it’s like trying to fill a bottle when the cap is still on. Try as you might, with all of the love, intention, and desire to share, your energy simply cannot penetrate. And as with our favorite spiritual illustration, the lightbulb, if the negative pole is blocked, the circuit cannot be completed, and the energy cannot flow.

It’s not about judging people as worthy or unworthy. It’s about discerning who is ‘open’ to receive, and willing to use what we have to offer – wisdom, love, time, concern – no matter what flavor!
No doubt, if you go through your relationships, in your head, one by one, you are going find several that fit the above description: Your desire to contribute to them is not received with an equal amount of desire to receive from you.

Some people, including myself, more than I am happy to admit, make it our life’s purpose to give where it is not appreciated, or even not wanted. But everyone, at one time or another, decides where to give, by their own concepts, instead of looking where there is the most reception.

At the same time, one may fall into the opposite trap, the bottomless pit, or the bottle with the cap off, but cracked. I call that the Black Hole… the other extreme of the No Circuitry sole correction.

I used to have a client (or two, or three, or four… grrr) where we would have great conversations, I would be able to express all the light the Light wanted me to channel, but nothing would stick with the recipient.

This particular client, let’s call him Matt, was hungry for solutions, hungry for light, hungry… insatiable. What he wasn’t hungry for is making changes in his thinking or in his actions.

My style of coaching is to leave the client with a set of practices or action that they must complete in order for the session to make any real difference. Matt never did any of the actions, any of the practices. Instead, he came to every call as if the previous one had never happened. Unchanged.

He remembered them all right, but remembering is the booby prize… not much value there. His life didn’t notice he had that session.

I “fired him” from my practice… after a while.

I noticed that there was a certain co-dependency developing: it gave me a sense of accomplishment and an experience of being very bright to channel the Light. And he came to me the way an alcoholic goes to the pub.

I needed to restrict my addictive tendencies and ask him to get his daily fix someplace else.

Result? I started to channel the Light into

Ambition versus Desire… Why ambition has become a dirty word, and who does it serve?

I spent yesterday reading the novel the 1997 Dutch film (Character) was based upon. Of course they changed a few things, and the film left me in deep quandary. The title didn’t make sense. The whole dynamic didn’t make sense. So I read the book.

Most movies’ ending is clear… this is probably only the second movie that left me with questions: WTF just happened? The other movie is the 2002 Chinese movie “Together”.

Anyway, I read the Character book. It was written in 1938.

I did learn what the title was about. And I learned a lot more.

This article is not about the movie, this article is about what makes a man a Man.

More about Desire and Ambition…

Desire is a mental energy. It is impossible to desire something you have not imagined or seen. So desire is comparing an image of something and the way it is, and that gap is what is called desire.

Now, desire has this imagination element, that shows the object of desire, the finished “product” as if it were already there. And therein lies the mischief.

The path from the present moment to the ready is long and arduous, unless it is as easy as making a cup of coffee… when you have coffee, water, and a coffee maker.

But most things are not simple, and only happen over time.

Here is an example:

A few years ago I started to provide water for the birds. I live on the edge of a small wild woods… a few acres on the side of a hill that is too steep to build on. We have deer, skunks, racoon, badger, lots of squirrels, and a ton of birds.

You hope you have high vibration… but what if you don’t know what high vibration is?

I am getting hundreds of requests for Starting Point Measurements. That includes me measuring your vibration… human vibration, vibrational frequency, whatever you call it…

Ultimately there is one thing in common among the emotional responses: disappointment.

A lot of people think that their numbers, their vibration should be higher. Why? Because they are good people. Because they are charitable, kind, nice, don’t kill puppies, and volunteer… whatever b.s. is considered high vibration nowadays.

But the vibration number shows one thing and one thing only: how much your behavior is informed by reality and how much is informed by b.s., rules, myths, ideas, that ignore reality.

And your vibration number is low.

The Secret: Being unstoppable. Going the extra mile. Being willing to do what it takes…

The stuff heroes made of. Not ordinary.

What was in The Secret movie and The Secret book is plain bullshit. Plain and simple.

What we call ordinary is ugly. Being stopped by fear. Being stopped by doubts. Being stopped by laziness. Being stopped by anything.

You get a great idea, or an invitation, and you see that pursuing would take you to a place you’d like to be… but.

That but, that pesky but, is what is between you and becoming a person. And you know it. So you struggle with the shame, and regret… but that is just more of the same.

The only thing that conquers that “but” is action.

But… but you have learned, wrongly, that one action is all it takes to get from where you are to where you want to be.

The Kaizen way of changing… aka Trimtabbing yourself to a full change

In this article I am using an example in which we are starting a new business with the Kaizen way… a business that is going to succeed and more importantly, where growing it causes the owner of the business to grow into the kind of person who can… can make a lot of money, can sustain growth, can have it all… can build a life worth living.

So, this article will be about change, or better said the art of change.

Change is scary, mainly because it is a disruption. And it also requires one to know what to do, when to do it, and how to do it.

Working with me is designed to cause lasting changes… but it is really always up to you.

What is your Self, your Dharma? Can you find it? Can you define yourself?

I have been doing a lot of work while I seemingly do nothing… or not much.

Something is driving me…

I used to say it this way: “I can’t do no other”…
