Self-Awareness and the The Sideways View…

How Self-Awareness is the Key to Happiness, Effectiveness, Intelligent Decisions… The Sideways View
I thought I was going to have a domestic day. you know laundry, dishes, stuff. and watch myself, my emotions, and have a good old time.

The weather is gorgeous. My neighborhood is even prettier in the fall than in the summer. you can see far. and the contrast of the blue sky and the rusty color of the leaves and branches is really beautiful.

The thought: ‘I could actually be happy’. The though of being cured. These thoughts were very present there for a few minutes. I made myself a nice cup of tea, and checked my email.

There was a note there from Youtube that I have a comment on my ‘Why are Jews smart?’ video, so I went to check it out.

Your current core identity. Is it serving you well?

Your current core identity. How to find it, how to build a better one?
I have written in a previous post that I discovered that my hidden identity is ‘worthless piece of junk = unwanted’. I use the word junk, because this expression is a translation from my native Hungarian. In the original the expression is closer to ‘nothing’ than anything, by the way. But in English, I am afraid, that won’t communicate. ‘I am nothing’, does it communicate? It doesn’t seem to have the same emotional impact on me…

From time to time I notice it ‘informing my mood, informing my actions.’

I found a blog that I enjoy reading. The writer of the blog is intelligent, inventive, and although we have a different base world view (he prays, I don’t) I like his blog a lot. I researched him this morning. All the pictures on his blog are white folks… turns out he is a good looking Black guy from Florida.
Hm. What must be his ‘core’ identity that he won’t show his face on his blog?

Transformational methods to get you unstuck

Or how to set the context to alter the story and therefore alter your actions?
Whether you know it or not, your relationship to life is stiff, inflexible, and therefore ineffective.

You look at things, always, from the same exact perspective, and therefore you see, always, the same old, same old life: good or bad, the same.
The Sideways Method
I have taught you previously a move, that can transform your reality, the sideways view.

The drama of your life: do you have a choice about that? Conscious Uncoupling?

As a conscious empath I don’t only check if an emotion I feel is mine, I also check the source of the emotion.

Sometimes it is a Dark Side transmission, but mostly it’s another person I accidentally connected with.

I have two graduate students live in the downstairs apartment. Two girls.

Every time I go downstairs with a package for the mailman to pick up, or to check my mail, they hear me: the old wooden staircase makes an unholy noise. That’s when they connect, and I have to feel their emotions for a little while.

Both girls have a big issue about boys… it comes with their age.

How Self-Awareness is the Key to Happiness, Effectiveness, Intelligent Decisions… The Sideways View

Note: I could not find any pictures that would illustrate this principle or distinction, sorry. The illustrations are for simple self-awareness, or self-delusion, but they are funny… so enjoy. Sophie
