Self-Discipline and Brilliance: what is the connection?

I wrote this article in 2013… My self-discipline/attention was 10% then. I have grown since then, but what I write here is still OK… although I have found conation not being innate…

It is still worth reading.
Brilliance: what is it, and how is it connected to the Original Design, your vibration, and your world view?
If you have been borderline a failure, but you think you are smart, this may be the article that you need to find your brilliance and your power to act on it.

I play the Self-Discipline Avatar State audio in the background. 24/7.

I am dealing with several issues, among others I eat the way a chain smoker smokes: from the moment I get up till the moment I go go bed. There is always something in my mouth, food, or tea, or water. It is a defense mechanism to the onslaught of feelings I have difficulty dealing with, given that they have nothing to do with me, they come from other people.

I would like to restrict my eating to a few hours a day. Why? To demonstrate my power over my behavior. And I could use dropping a few pounds, eh, about 10 or so. I am having the hardest time, though with the self-discipline audio it is a tad easier. I have already dropped 10 lbs, that’s why I have only 10 more to go.

Yesterday I had an insight:

the self-discipline audio activates the self first, and then it activates your ability to learn new things, new ways of being, new ways of doing thing. I have no idea what that means to you, but I’ll tell you what I have been noticing.

I am a quick-start by nature, shoot first, no thinking.

A jumping jack. I have been taming it, or better said, I have been trying to tame it. It cuts an awful lot of work out when I take a moment or two to look first. Not look and look and think and think, just look. Much like in PhotoReading, you don’t quite look at the pages, you look behind them, and make your eyes fuzzy.

What sees the pages is not your conscious mind, it is your ‘other than conscious mind’ and it is faster than your conscious mind by far. It is very different from what you call ‘mind’, the other than conscious mind doesn’t try to understand or evaluate, or compare, or opinionate about what it sees, it just gets it, it just sees it and that’s it. This is what I always ask you to use on my live calls, so far to no avail 🙁

When I can successfully nudge myself to look at what’s in front of me that way, the inner guidance, the inner knowing gets really strong, and I can do no wrong…

But my soul correction is trust based, specifically: I have no trust  🙁
So I need to nudge myself to look before I leap.
The interesting thing I see is that I don’t need to change myself, I only need to sneak in that brief moment of not-looking-type-looking, the other than conscious mind looking, so I don’t jump into the rocks or an empty swimming pool.

What does this have to do with brilliance? A whole lot.

In my definition, brilliance is being guided by that ‘other than c

Raise Your Vibration: 4 Modalities That Can Work

Please remember that this case study is concerned with one aspect: does the modality raise your vibration permanently. That is the only question I answer here, that is my only concern.

Why? Because there are tons of life-coaches, lots of ‘transformational’ programs, lots of spiritual teachers, lots of meditation, yoga, brain-entrainment, etc. programs are out there that create a feel-good effect, but the effect isn’t lasting, and you have to go back for more.

What do I mean?

Case Study: Abraham Channeled by Esther Hicks. Feel better vs. Raise Your Vibration

Feel better vs. Raise Your Vibration
Please remember that this whole series of case studies is interested in one aspect: does the modality raise your vibration permanently. Or only teaches you to feel better temporarily… That is the only criteria that I examine here.

Why? Because there are plenty of feel better, flash-in-the-pan modalities out there that enslave you.

What do I mean?

Let me give you an example: A friend of mine ran his idea by me today: he wants to offer an on-demand coaching service, where people pay a monthly retainer fee and then a per-minute fee when they call for a coaching session.

What’s predictable is that the same people will call about the same issues, over and over. And unless he does something beyond solving the issue at hand, he will have to deal with the same thing over and over again. They will feel better for a little while, but the same thing will come back again and again.

Your emotions make your decisions for you, not your mind.

A student of mine sent me this article because of my recent discovery I talked about in the “What’s wrong with me” article, and have been elaborating on it on the free webinars that I have three times a week.

What’s the difference between a presidential candidate and an internet marketing guru?

American citizens, eligible to vote, are divided.

But whether you will vote to Obama, McCain, or you stay at home and let others decide, one thing is certain, no one is looking at the real issue:

The skill it takes to win the votes of the majority, i.e. win an election is a very different skill from the skill of running a country. Unless running it to the ground qualifies as running it…. ;-)Â as we have experienced, time and time again.

Just like in politics, the same is true for teaching anything, including internet marketing. The skill it takes to be a successful internet marketer is a vastly different skill from the skill of causing another person’s success.

We all look to our guru to teach us what to do and how to do it, so that we can be successful like them, and we all get very frustrated and very weary, because what they say and what they do are often different, and even if and when we did exactly what they said to do, we meet with meager success.

How come? We seem all very surprised.

Well, let me ask you this: have you ever heard of a successful football or basketball coach that played real well?

Or the reverse: have you ever heard of a successful player that was also a great coach?

Most successful players play from their “other than conscious mind.”

3 Techniques to expand the limited view through which you experience life

As I have said before, your experience of life is limited, narrow, and quite defined by your culture, family, upbringing, education, and early experiences.

As long as your view of life stays the same, life will stay the same, or worse: it is a downward spiral.

So it makes sense to explore and employ methods that can expand your view of life and thus allow for a life that can go in a different direction, instead of the downward spiral.

Your emotions make your decisions for you, not your mind. The mind only justifies your decisions

A student of mine sent me this article because of my recent discovery I talked about in the “What’s wrong with me” article, and have been elaborating on it on the free webinars that I have three times a week.

I had always taught what I learned, that first is the word, that creates the feeling, and that triggers the action. But this past Tuesday I finally put that to the test and it is now proven to be absolute horse manure: not true.

When something happens, your other than conscious mind, your emotions already react, whether you are aware of it or not. And that makes you act… even before the mind gets any of this.

Whether it is 7 seconds as they claim in this article or not, is immaterial, your mind is always late to the party…

Meditation: What is it and why is it useful?

Meditation

I wrote this article a year and a half ago. I never published it, but I will, now. Why? Because I have a lot more insight about meditation I can share, and because I offered a famous marketer to teach him meditation, and he hasn’t even bothered to answer my email.

I write many of my articles as a way to poke the Universe for answers, as a way to force my intelligence into gear.

What is meditation and what is the role of meditation?
Quoting from Wikipedia: Meditation is a practice in which an individual trains the mind or induces a mode of consciousness, either to realize some benefit or as an end in itself
I will examine this question as a non-meditator who has tried to meditate and failed.

I am not against meditation. Meditation as a tool, to allow all knowledge to reach you, past the noise of all there is, distinguished as knowledge beyond your own, is invaluable.

I have been quasi meditating the past day or so… the questions I am meditating over are

1. whether God is a sentient being
2. whether the “law” of attraction, the law that says that you can earn something coming to you
